Riyadh: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, chaired a significant Cabinet session.
According to Bahrain News Agency,
the Saudi Cabinet authorized the President of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, or a deputy, to discuss and sign a draft memorandum of understanding with Bahrain's Information and eGovernment Authority. This agreement aims to foster cooperation in data and artificial intelligence, signaling a strategic partnership between the two nations.
The session also included a review of regional developments, with a firm stance against attacks targeting the territories and territorial waters of the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar, and the State of Kuwait. The Cabinet reiterated Saudi Arabia's support for Gulf states and measures to ensure their security and stability.
Salman Al Dossary, Minister of Media of Saudi Arabia, highlighted that the Cabinet discussed international cooperation, praised the outcomes of the Saudi-Turkish Coordination Council, and celebrated Riyadh's selection as the host of a United Nations digital government centre.
Additionally, the Cabinet reviewed the quarterly report on the state's general budget performance for the 2026 fiscal year. It issued several decisions, including agreements and memoranda of understanding with various countries in sectors like development and the environment. The session also approved the establishment of Kingdom University in Riyadh, marking a significant step in educational development.
