Information Ministry Unveils Media Strategy for 2025 Asian Youth Games in Bahrain

Manama: Yousif Mohammed Albinkhalil, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, has announced a comprehensive media plan for the coverage of the Asian Youth Games "Bahrain 2025," scheduled from October 22 to 31. The games are a significant sporting event that underscores Bahrain's capability in organizing international sports events, reflecting the nation's advancement in line with Bahrain's comprehensive development under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the sports sector in Bahrain has grown both regionally and internationally, driven by the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Their leadership has helped position Bahrain among leading nations in securing sports titles and successfully hosting regional and international competitions.

The Undersecretary highlighted that the Ministry has crafted an extensive media plan under the directives of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad and monitored by Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information. The plan aims to enhance Bahrain's reputation in hosting major events by showcasing the professionalism and expertise of Bahraini media personnel.

The plan features full television coverage, with documentation, reports, and live broadcasts of over 30 sports and 55 competitions, including opening and closing ceremonies. The International Broadcasting Centre (IBC) will manage the broadcasts, equipped with studios, control rooms, and advanced infrastructure for global distribution.

Additionally, the Ministry has developed a digital media strategy to live stream main events on digital platforms and provide daily multimedia content, including social media posts and stories about competition schedules, results, highlights, award ceremonies, interviews, and fan moments. A daily video summary of the Games will be produced by a team of content creators, translators, and account managers.

Albinkhalil stated that coverage will also be available through regional and international sports channels to reach a broad audience. The Ministry has partnered with TikTok as the digital partner to offer interactive content, aligning with modern digital media trends and reaching young audiences globally.

Furthermore, the Ministry will host "Bahraini Night" at Ras Hayan Heritage Village alongside the Games, featuring traditional performances, handicrafts, a traditional-dress photo corner, and an interactive exhibition on Bahraini identity and heritage. Albinkhalil emphasized the Ministry's commitment to using all technical and human resources to deliver professional coverage, projecting Bahrain positively to the world.
