HM King Hamad Visits Youth City 2030 to Encourage National Development

Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa visited Youth City 2030 to engage with the Kingdom's youth and promote national development through various training programs and initiatives.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty was welcomed by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), as well as senior officials and supervisors of Youth City 2030. The visit focused on reviewing the programs and opportunities provided to Bahraini youth, aimed at enhancing their skills and readiness to contribute to the nation's progress.

During the briefing, the 15th edition of Youth City was highlighted, showcasing over 324 training programs and more than 10,000 training opportunities across diverse fields, involving 9,635 participants. The initiative's strength lies in its 204 local and international partnerships, which enrich the programs and offer participants varied experiences and expertise.

His Majesty toured the various centers and programs within Youth City 2030, including the Science and Technology Centre, Arts and Culture Centre, Entrepreneurship and Leadership Centre, Media and Digital Innovation Centre, and Summer Sports City. The King also explored the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism (Bahrainouna) and the Young Trader projects, engaging with young entrepreneurs and their innovative ideas.

The King observed a talent performance by Youth City 2030 participants, highlighting the skills and abilities of the young generation. He expressed appreciation for their efforts, noting that they represent the future of Bahrain. His Majesty emphasized the importance of youth in continuing the legacy of previous generations in serving the nation, commending their enthusiasm and readiness.

Concluding his visit, His Majesty participated in a commemorative group photograph with officials and organizers of Youth City 2030. He praised the initiative's continued success and its role in empowering Bahraini youth to be creative and capable contributors to the Kingdom's development.

His Majesty acknowledged the achievements and aspirations of Bahraini youth, affirming the ongoing support and preparation to enable them to lead national development. He stressed the importance of strategic programs led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in investing in youth skills and development.

The King also commended the efforts of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for their contributions to empowering youth and supporting the sports and youth movements. His Majesty expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and the volunteers at Youth City for their dedication to developing Bahraini youth talents and abilities.
