Manama: Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, inaugurated the Imam Hussain Medical Clinic in Manama, as part of Bahrain's health preparedness for the 1447 AH Ashoora commemoration. The ceremony was attended by Yousif bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Jaffari Endowments Council; Ejlal Faisal Al Alawi, CEO of Primary Healthcare Centers; and Hassan Abdulla Madani, Deputy Governor of the Capital Governorate.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Minister expressed her appreciation for the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to ensure the success of Ashoora by providing all necessary support and resources. She also highlighted the close follow-up of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in overseeing the implementation of various initiatives by relevant authorities to fulfill these directives.
The Minister noted that the opening of the Imam Hussain Medical Clinic falls within a comprehensive health framework aimed at early preparedness and effective coordination among agencies to deliver high quality and rapid healthcare services.
The Minister emphasized the ongoing efforts of the health sector, in collaboration with relevant national entities, to enhance services, upgrade medical and nursing teams, and equip the clinic with essential supplies and medications, ensuring a safe environment for the community to observe the Ashoora rituals. She also emphasized the dedication of the clinic's staff, logistical support teams, and cooperation among partners in making this initiative a success.
Al Saleh noted that health and safety are key to the Ashoora preparations, with the clinic's opening reinforcing community partnership. He noted that the Imam Hussain Medical Clinic has, for over two decades, delivered high quality care and provided comprehensive health coverage during Ashoora.
Dr. Al Alawi underscored that the clinic's medical staff are fully prepared to serve visitors during Ashoora. She highlighted the collaboration with Al Hilal Hospital and Ibn Al Nafees Hospital, which has enhanced the scope of healthcare services through joint support in staffing and equipment.
Dr. Al Alawi also thanked all the medical, administrative, and operational teams for their dedicated efforts in serving the community during this season.
The Deputy Governor emphasized the effective cooperation between governmental, private, and volunteer sectors, noting its role in ensuring public health during Ashoora, while the governorate remains committed to monitoring compliance with health guidelines.
