Manama: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that its latest issue of short-term Islamic leasing (Ijara) Sukuk has been oversubscribed by a significant margin of 356%. The total subscriptions reached BD 92.635 million, far exceeding the BD 26 million that was initially offered.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Sukuk, which are set to mature in 182 days, offer an expected return of 5.35%. The issuance period begins on July 3 and will conclude on January 1, 2026. This expected return mirrors the rate from the previous issue on June 5, indicating consistency in returns for investors.
The CBB issues the Sukuk Al Ijara on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain, marking this as issue No.239 (BH0006071714) in the series of short-term Sukuk Al-Ijara. The oversubscription reflects strong investor interest and confidence in the financial instruments provided by the CBB.
