SCYS Secretary-General Highlights Youth City 2030’s Role in Developing Future Leaders

Manama: Ayman bin Tawfiq Al Moayyed, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), emphasised that the continuous successes achieved by Youth City 2030 are in line with the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Moayyed noted that these successes aim to continue supporting and caring for youth, considering them a fundamental pillar in the comprehensive development process. He also highlighted that the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, have made youth empowerment and the development of their abilities a central focus of the government's programme, placing youth at the heart of national policies and creating a supportive and stimulating environment for creativity and innovation.

He underscored that these ongoing efforts to support and empower youth are a part of the vision of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and his belief in the importance of investing in Bahraini youth.

Al Moayyed noted that the specialised training and practical opportunities offered by Youth City 2030 mark a major step forward for youth development. These programmes open new paths for excellence, giving young people the tools and skills they need to be ready for leadership roles in various fields. He highlighted that Youth City 2030 serves as a comprehensive platform, providing a wide range of high-quality programmes that keep up with rapid changes and labour market needs.

This helps youth improve their skills, build their abilities, and become more competitive and prepared to lead in the future. Al Moayyed also stressed that the clear achievements and strong results from Youth City 2030 over the years show why it is vital to keep supporting this ambitious national project, as it plays a key role in building national talent and promoting a culture of leadership and innovation among young people.

He commended the cooperation between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), affirming that this model of institutional integration embodies a shared commitment to supporting and empowering Bahraini youth. It reflects the keenness of both parties to deliver high-quality training content and programmes in Youth City 2030, in line with the ambitious developmental directions of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and enhances the impact of national initiatives in preparing a generation capable of creativity and excellence.

Al Moayyed called on Bahraini youth to participate in the initiative and benefit from the opportunities it provides, noting that joining the city's programmes represents a strategic step towards self-development and gaining practical experience.
