Saudi-Lebanese Cooperation Foils Major Smuggling Attempt of 3.9 Million Amphetamine Pills

Riyadh: Information provided by Saudi Arabia's General Directorate of Narcotics Control to its counterpart in Lebanon contributed to foiling an attempt to smuggle nearly 3.9 million amphetamine pills.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Ministry of Interior security spokesperson Brigadier General Talal bin Abdul Mohsen bin Shalhoub stated that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat criminal drug-smuggling networks. Brigadier General bin Shalhoub highlighted the continued cooperation with Lebanese authorities in tracking and seizing narcotics, reflecting the level of security coordination between the two countries in combating cross-border criminal networks.

He emphasized that Saudi Arabia remains vigilant in monitoring and countering criminal activities involving drug trafficking. The kingdom is committed to thwarting smuggling attempts and arresting those involved to protect society from the dangers of narcotics.
