Riyadh: The Ministry of Energy of Saudi Arabia announced that energy facilities and the East-West pipeline affected by recent attacks have recovered and restored operational capacity.
According to Bahrain News Agency, this follows the ministry's statement issued on April 9, on the impact on certain facilities in the Kingdom's energy sector, including the loss of approximately 700,000 barrels per day of pumping capacity through the East-West pipeline, a reduction in production at the Manifa field of about 300,000 barrels per day, and an impact on production at the Khurais field of around 300,000 barrels per day.
The ministry confirmed that operational and technical efforts have successfully restored full pumping capacity through the East-West pipeline, reaching approximately seven million barrels per day, and recovered the affected production volumes at the Manifa field, estimated at around 300,000 barrels per day, within a short period.
It added that work is ongoing to restore full production capacity at the Khurais field, noting that further updates will be announced upon completion, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The ministry affirmed that the swift recovery reflects the high level of operational resilience and crisis management efficiency of Saudi Aramco and the Kingdom's energy ecosystem, enhancing the reliability and continuity of supplies to local and global markets, and supporting the global economy.
