Public Prosecutor Engages Juvenile Justice Judges on Child Care Standards

Manama: Dr. Ali bin Fadhel Al Buainain, the Attorney General, recently met with judges from the Juvenile Justice Courts, comprising Judge Ibrahim Salman Al Jafn, Judge Hussain Najm Al Shaikh, and Judge Mohammed Hisham Al Maawda. The meeting focused on the presentation of a comprehensive report detailing their inspections of child care and detention centers.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the report provided an in-depth review of the conditions experienced by children in care and custody. It emphasized their legal rights and outlined the methods used to evaluate the reform and educational programs available to them. This assessment is crucial in ensuring that the services provided meet the required standards and that the children's well-being and development are prioritized.

Additionally, the report highlighted the collaborative efforts between the Juvenile Justice Courts and the Public Prosecution, specifically the Family and Child Prosecution, alongside care centers and aftercare units. This coordination is essential for creating a cohesive system that supports the needs of children in the juvenile justice system.

The judges noted that inspection visits and the subsequent reports are vital in enhancing judicial proceedings within juvenile justice. These tools facilitate experience sharing, improve the monitoring of children's conditions, and contribute to the enhancement of care and services. Such efforts are aimed at providing a safe and supportive environment that fosters the children's reintegration into society.
