Manama: The fourth edition of the Muharraq Nights Festival boasts an extensive music program, featuring over 800 performances that have captivated audiences and sparked significant public engagement. These events are scattered across historic Muharraq, aligning with the Celebrate Bahrain Season 2025.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the festival showcases bands and artists from Bahrain and several Arab countries, with performances spread across multiple venues along the Pearling Path. The festival highlights a variety of musical styles, reflecting the diverse artistic experiences on display.
Bahraini folk bands are actively participating, offering heritage performances that feature traditional musical forms such as Fjiri, Sawt, Ardha, Dagg Al Hab, and Khamari. These cultural displays are hosted at locations like Dar Al Muharraq, Mohammed bin Faris House, and the Pearling Path Visitor and Experience Centre.
In addition, Qal'at Bu Mahir hosts concerts that blend classical and contemporary music with repertoire from the golden era of Arabic songs, complementing the historical essence of the site. The fort hosts a range of musical evenings, including Gulf and Eastern music, choral performances, and Arab musical nights.
The festival's musical journey continues across various stations along the path, with public squares serving as open-air venues. Suq Barahat Fakhro offers intimate performances, while Suq Block 216 features women's folk bands presenting Murada and traditional chants, highlighting women's contributions to Bahrain's musical heritage.
Performances extend to other venues such as Dar Amana, Albareh Art Space, Kalimat House, and Jamsheer House through The House evenings. Additionally, Al Fareeda Square and the Bahrain Club incorporate live music into the festival's program.
