Manama: Oil prices recorded a slight increase on Friday, supported by improved seasonal demand and expectations of large shipments to China, though gains were limited by concerns over tariffs and rising output from the OPEC+ alliance. Brent crude futures rose by 0.28%, or 19 cents, to reach $68.83 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures climbed 0.36%, or 24 cents, to $66.81 per barrel.
According to Bahrain News Agency, since the start of the week, Brent crude has gained 0.8%, while WTI has declined by 0.2%. On Thursday, oil prices had fallen by more than 2% as investor concerns grew over the impact of tariffs on global economic growth and oil demand.
