Justice Ministry Launches E-Service for Private Notaries to Streamline Property Sales

Manama: The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments has launched an e-service for private notaries to streamline property sale procedures and expedite real estate transactions. The initiative follows approval by the Cabinet, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the service provides an electronic link between relevant government entities, ensuring transactions are completed efficiently and swiftly. Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments, said that the free service will allow investors and real estate professionals to complete most notarisation transactions through private notaries within minutes, provided all requirements are met. It also enables instant verification of regulatory conditions and property classifications, reducing time and effort spent on routine procedures.

The minister highlighted that this initiative aims to enhance the investment climate, support economic growth, and boost the real estate market by facilitating transactions for buyers, developers, and brokers. Minister Al Maawda added that the new service will enhance the role of private notaries, offering greater convenience for businesses, investors, and companies. It will also allow transactions to be conducted through licensed lawyers and legal professionals, extend notarisation services beyond regular working hours, and ensure private notary offices cover all governorates of Bahrain.
