SCH Chairman Inaugurates IT Department at MKCC

Manama: Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH), inaugurated the Information Technology (IT) Department at the Mohammed Bin Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Specialist Cardiac Centre (MKCC). The inauguration was part of the 57th anniversary celebrations of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).

According to Bahrain News Agency, the ceremony was graced by the presence of Lieutenant-General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs, and Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health. The event included a tour of the department's advanced technological systems and equipment, which align with ongoing digital transformation efforts.

Lt. Gen. Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah emphasized the advancements and preparedness of the BDF's medical system in the realm of information technology. He acknowledged the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister. He also praised the dedicated oversight of Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF.

Lt. Gen. Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah also highlighted the national capabilities of the BDF, underscoring that the anniversary of its establishment serves as a reminder of its contributions to the nation and its pivotal role in Bahrain's development, as well as its embodiment of values such as loyalty and belonging.
