Jordan and Morocco Sign Agreements to Enhance Judicial Cooperation

Amman: Jordan and Morocco have taken a significant step to strengthen their judicial and legal collaboration by signing two pivotal agreements. Bassam Talhouni, the Jordanian Minister of Justice, and Abdellatif Ouahbi, his Moroccan counterpart, formalized these agreements, which are set to enhance the justice system and promote the exchange of legal expertise between the two nations.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the first agreement focuses on the transfer of prisoners who are serving custodial sentences, allowing for better management of cross-border legal matters. The second agreement is centered around mutual legal and judicial assistance in criminal cases, aimed at facilitating the enforcement of judgments and combating cross-border crime more efficiently.

Talhouni highlighted that these agreements pave the way for greater information exchange and the reinforcement of the rule of law. Ouahbi commended the strong relations between Jordan and Morocco and expressed the shared ambition of both countries to deepen their judicial partnership further.
