GCC Secretary General Highlights Mediterranean-Gulf Partnership Potential at Dubrovnik Forum

Dubrovnik: Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), participated in a high-level discussion held as part of the Dubrovnik Forum 2025, hosted by the Republic of Croatia in Dubrovnik from July 11 to 12. Al Budaiwi emphasised the importance of strengthening strategic partnerships between GCC member states and countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea, noting that such collaboration would contribute to regional security, stability, and joint development efforts that benefit both sides.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Budaiwi highlighted the GCC's strategic geographic location, its prominent regional and international standing, and its credibility on the global stage as vital components for building effective partnerships with Mediterranean countries. He also pointed out the Council's growing economic strength and its pivotal role in ensuring global energy security.

Al Budaiwi added that the GCC stands as a trusted and influential partner capable of contributing to stability and sustainable development efforts both within and beyond the Mediterranean. He reiterated the Council's commitment to advancing dialogue and cooperation with international partners to promote mutual interests and global peace and security.
