Rocchette: A large wildfire near a campsite in Rocchette, in the coastal town of Castiglione della Pescaia, Tuscany, forced the precautionary evacuation of 600 people on Thursday.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the fire had spread through pine forests and reached a nearby holiday resort. Media reports attributed the blaze to a malfunction at a water desalination plant.
Firefighters, supported by forest rangers, volunteers, firefighting helicopters, and army-supplied water tankers, managed to extinguish the flames by Thursday evening. Clean-up operations were underway.
No injuries were reported. The evacuated tourists were accommodated in a nearby sports hall, where they were expected to remain for the day.
