Manama: Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, received special education teachers from Al Hidd Primary Boys School and Al Wadi Primary Boys School, acknowledging their work in integrating students with special needs and intellectual challenges into regular classrooms.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister praised the teaching and administrative staff at Al Hidd Primary Boys School for their success in integrating three students with autism spectrum disorder from specialised classrooms to regular ones. This integration was achieved by enhancing the students' academic, behavioral, and social skills.
Additionally, Dr. Juma highlighted the endeavors of Al Wadi Primary Boys School in aiding student Sajjad Mohammed Ali to overcome selective mutism. Their support enabled him to speak fluently and actively engage in school activities, serving as a testament to perseverance and personal growth.
Dr. Juma noted that these accomplishments are indicative of the success of the ministry's student inclusion programme, which is managed by the special education needs centre.
