Education Minister honours top achievers

Education Minister, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, has lauded the unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the educational march in the kingdom, citing their constant keenness to honour top-achieving students, being the kingdom’s real assets.

The minister highlighted HM the King’s keynote address to the students, through the BeAware Programme, in which HM commended the efforts exerted by the education officials to ensure the delivery of the educational services for all virtually during the spread of the novel Coronavirus.

Dr. Al-Nuaimi also paid tribute to the Deputy Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the President of the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training, for his constant follow-up, as well as for the Supreme Council’s keenness to enhance the efficiency of the educational system so as to upgrade the educational output, and meet the needs of comprehensive development in the kingdom.

The minister made the statements while addressing the virtual ceremony held by the Ministry of Education to honour more than 150 top-achieving secondary education graduates.

Education Ministry’s Undersecretary for Policies and Strategies, Nawal Ibrahim Al-Khater, Assistant Undersecretary for Education, Latifa Isa Al-Bunoodha, Ahlam Al-Amer and several officials attended the online ceremony.

The minister stressed that the ceremony crowns the tremendous efforts exerted by the students throughout the academic year, whether through in-person studying or various means, such as the central lessons, the educational portal, televised lessons or YouTube lessons, noting that the number of visits to the educational portal (EduNet) had reached 68 million.

Dr. Al-Nuaimi commended the tremendous efforts exerted by the Educational Ministry’s specialists to ensure the delivery of the educational services students, achieving multiple success stories.

He extended congratulations to the students and their parents on their success, paying tribute to teachers, school leaders and the Education Ministry’s affiliates for their efforts to ensure the success of the academic year, despite the pandemic.
