Manama: Counsellor Abdulla Isa Al Doseri, Acting Head of the International Cooperation and Human Rights Office at the Public Prosecution in Bahrain, chaired the 18th meeting of officials responsible for implementing joint cooperation rules among public prosecutions and public prosecution offices in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The meeting took place via video conference as part of Bahrain's presidency of the current session of the GCC.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by Chief Prosecutor Khalid Al Jalahma, along with representatives from public prosecutions and public prosecution offices from GCC member states. Al Doseri emphasized the significance of enhancing joint GCC cooperation in the judicial and legal fields. He stressed the need for continued coordination among judicial authorities to improve efficiency and unify efforts in addressing new legal challenges.
The meeting reviewed various items on the agenda, focusing on the joint cooperation rules among GCC countries and unified international cooperation forms. Participants underscored the necessity of developing work mechanisms to ensure speed and efficiency in processing judicial cooperation requests.
The meeting also highlighted the ongoing development of the GCC judicial cooperation system. There was an emphasis on enhancing coordination among relevant authorities to support effective justice and adapt to legal and technological advancements.
