Manama: The Bahrain Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2025, organised by the Bahrain Jiu-Jitsu Federation under the supervision of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council, concluded with 109 athletes from 17 nationalities representing 14 academies.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Rida Martial Arts Centre emerged victorious in the team rankings, securing 21 medals, which included 10 gold, 7 silver, and 4 bronze. Elements followed closely in second place with 19 medals, earning 7 gold, 7 silver, and 5 bronze. UFC Bahrain claimed third place with 8 medals, including 2 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze. Victory Jiu-Jitsu took fourth place with 5 medals, while UAE Police rounded out the top five with 2 gold medals.
In the youth white belt category, notable performances included Aseel Al Mutawa from Elements winning the under-62kg division, and Omar Khonji from Reza’s Martial Arts Centre taking first place in the under-69kg category. Ali Al Wazir from Reza’s Martial Arts Centre excelled in the over-69kg division.

ed belts also saw competitive matches, with Samuel Ambrosio from Reza’s Martial Arts Centre winning the under-69kg division, and Pedro Pacey from the same centre claiming victory in the over-69kg division.
In women’s competition, Alexandrine Kasim from UFC Bahrain won the white belt under-65kg category, while Alaa Saleh from Gracie Jiu Jitsu Bahrain triumphed in the blue and purple belt category.
Men’s white belt categories saw Hassan Ali from Victory Jiu-Jitsu winning the under-62kg category and Hassan Radhi from Victory Jiu-Jitsu securing the under-69kg category. UFC Bahrain’s Mohamed Janahi won in the under-85kg category.
In the men’s blue belt divisions, Abdullah Al Shaikh from Elements won the under-62kg category, and Abdulrahman Al Mashwar from Elements claimed victory in the under-69kg category. Hassan Osama from Reza’s Martial Arts Centre took the under-77kg division, while Mohamed Karimi from the same centre won the under-85kg category.

The brown belt under-85kg division saw Mohamed Al Najjar from Elements taking first place. In the black belt divisions, Vadzim Baku from Elements won the under-85kg category, and Dante Kano from Elements triumphed in the under-94kg division.
At the championship’s conclusion, Bahrain Combat Sports Council member and Bahrain Jiu-Jitsu Federation President, Redha Ibrahim Monfaredi, along with Vice President Ahmed Mohamed Janahi, awarded the winners. Monfaredi expressed gratitude to Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa for his support and commended the organising committees’ efforts, affirming the event’s significance in promoting and developing jiu-jitsu in Bahrain. He congratulated the winners and wished all participants success in future competitions.
