Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today focused on events that happened over the past 24 hours. The nation witnessed significant engagements in diplomatic, fiscal, and developmental domains, as key officials participated in meetings and forums aimed at fostering regional cooperation and national growth.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HRH the Deputy King chaired the weekly Cabinet Meeting, underlining the government’s ongoing commitment to effective governance. Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister engaged with the German Ambassador, strengthening bilateral relations between Bahrain and Germany. In Dubai, the Finance Minister attended the 9th Arab Fiscal Forum, emphasizing HM King’s support for young national talent as a cornerstone of Bahrain’s achievements.
The Transportation Minister was active in discussions on regional integration, meeting with the GCC Sec Gen, the Saudi Transport Authority Chief, and the DCO Sec Gen. These meetings aimed to enhance transportation and cooperation across the Gulf region. Additionally, the Youth Minister highlighted Bahrain’s launch of the “Hope Network” at the Arab Meeting for Young Leaders in Dubai.
Further efforts to streamline government services were made as the Justice Ministry launched an e-service for private notaries to facilitate property sales. The Electricity Ministry conducted a workshop on green public procurement, aiming to promote sustainability within the kingdom. Tourism initiatives also saw progress with the Tourism Minister promoting Sama Bay’s role in enhancing maritime tourism in Muharraq.
In other diplomatic engagements, the NPRA Undersecretary received the Iraqi Charg© d’Affaires, and the Public Security Chief met with the Korean Ambassador and a delegation from the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Bahrain’s commitment to cultural and archival cooperation was reinforced through the signing of an MoU with the UAE.
Bahrain continues to make strides in education and security as Bahraini students achieved top ranks in TIMSS 2023, and the Bahrain Airport Company successfully conducted a fire emergency evacuation exercise, showcasing preparedness and excellence.
