Bahrain International Garden Show 2025 Set for February Launch

Sakhir: Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and support from Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the Bahrain International Garden Show 2025 is set to take place from February 20 to 23 at Hall 3 of the Exhibition World Bahrain in Sakhir. Shaikha Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa, Secretary-General of the National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD), announced the event as Bahrain's premier agricultural showcase, emphasizing its role in promoting global agricultural advancements and environmental sustainability.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikha Maram highlighted the exhibition's history of success, positioning it as a crucial international platform for innovations in horticulture and agricultural technology. The event will gather investors, farmers, researchers, and experts worldwide to exchange ideas, enhancing agricultural production and food security locally and globally.

A notable feature of the show is the dedicated national pavilion for 16 Bahraini farmers, showcasing the Kingdom's agricultural progress. This initiative supports local farmers by providing exposure on an international stage, promoting trade expansion, and encouraging agricultural tourism in Bahrain. Participating farmers were selected through a draw to ensure equal opportunity.

Significant international participation is expected, with 121 exhibitors from 19 countries, including 68 local and 53 international exhibitors. Participants include experts from GCC countries and regions like the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia, as well as representatives from Russia, New Zealand, Brazil, and Argentina. This widespread participation underscores the event's global importance in fostering agricultural cooperation.

The exhibition will also support Bahraini entrepreneurship in agriculture, with "Export Bahrain" and Tamkeen aiding local entrepreneurs in showcasing innovative products. This effort aims to boost Bahraini products' presence in regional and international markets.

Shaikha Maram announced diverse activities, including interactive pavilions for agricultural awareness and sustainability. The NIAD pavilion will highlight key achievements, while educational sessions on modern agriculture will cater to all age groups. A children's pavilion will offer interactive programs to foster environmental consciousness.

Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Bahrain Garden Club, the show will feature a pavilion showcasing the club's history and contributions. Competitions for various cups, including the His Majesty the King's Cup, will culminate in February, with dedicated assessments scheduled.

Shaikha Maram expressed gratitude to supporting entities and media partners, acknowledging their roles in promoting the event and its contribution to Bahrain's GDP. The public is invited to explore the exhibition's diverse offerings, merging education with entertainment in an inspiring atmosphere.
