US Nuclear-Powered Submarine Arrives in South Korea to Replenish Supplies

Busan: A US nuclear-powered submarine has arrived at a major southeastern naval base in South Korea to replenish supplies. The USS Alexandria, a Los Angeles-class attack submarine, entered the naval base in Busan, approximately 320 kilometers southeast of Seoul.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the armed forces plan to conduct activities to enhance cooperation between the South Korean and US navies and develop their joint defense posture. This arrival marks a strategic move to bolster the military alliance between the two nations.

This deployment comes about three months after a US submarine visited the southeastern naval base for similar purposes last November, underscoring the ongoing military collaboration between South Korea and the United States.
