Manama: Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, held a remote meeting with representatives from Cambridge Judge Business School to discuss enhancing international cooperation in the field of youth empowerment.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Tawfiqi commended the University of Cambridge for its esteemed academic reputation and its contributions to education and scientific research. She emphasised the importance of forging strategic partnerships between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and premier academic institutions like Cambridge, particularly in the advancement of youth-oriented programmes and policy development.
The meeting discussed cooperation in youth development and opportunities to benefit from Cambridge's expertise in youth-focused research and academic studies. The talks also addressed the development of joint educational and training initiatives, enhancing collaboration within the Ministry's "Masari" programme, and launching joint efforts to equip Bahraini youth with skills in entrepreneurship and project management.
On their part, the representatives commended Bahrain's youth movement and its achievements in empowering young people and integrating them into national development efforts. They expressed Cambridge University's interest in expanding its collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs to help transfer global best practices in youth development to Bahrain.
