Manama: Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, participated in a remote panel discussion as part of the "Majlis Buyoot" programme, organised by the Bahrain Youth Hostels Association. She emphasised that the Kingdom's vision for youth is based on recognising them as an active force and a key driver of development, as well as partners in shaping the future. She added that this reflects their growing contribution across various fields and in achieving accomplishments.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Tawfiqi said that the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, place Bahraini youth at the forefront of national priorities, as they are the main pillar of the comprehensive development process.
She commended the vision of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty's Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, which has enabled youth to explore new horizons of creativity and turn challenges into quality opportunities to shape the future.
The minister noted that challenges represent real platforms to discover youth potential, refine their abilities, and enhance the quality of their output, adding that Bahraini youth demonstrate a high sense of responsibility and contribute effectively as part of the solution system.
Minister Tawfiqi added that empowering youth and providing them with opportunities enhances their ability to present quality initiatives that contribute to various sectors, underscoring the importance of achieving balance and that focusing on well-considered and sustainable achievements is a fundamental pillar that enhances impact quality and aligns with development aspirations.
She reviewed the ministry's role in developing advanced youth communities through interactive platforms and programmes, including the "Hadeeth" initiative, which serves as a vital channel to convey youth voices and strengthen their presence, in addition to youth empowerment and training programmes. She emphasised that the ministry operates under a strategic approach focused on investing in youth and empowering them to achieve sustainable impact.
The minister also highlighted the ministry's directives, which focus intensively on instilling national identity among young people and youth. She noted the presence of specialised entities and training programmes aimed at preserving this identity alongside technical and leadership empowerment programmes.
Minister Tawfiqi commended the role played by the Bahrain Youth Hostels Association in developing youth capacities and enhancing their skills, affirming the ministry's support for all efforts that contribute to activating the role of youth and effectively integrating them into society.
