Chief of Public Security Meets with UN Delegation to Discuss Safety Measures

Manama: Lieutenant General Tariq Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security, welcomed a delegation of United Nations officials, including Khaled El Mekwad, United Nations Resident Coordinator, Jorge Alturas, Chief Security Adviser at the United Nations Department of Safety and Security, and Majed Mastour, Security and Safety Manager for UN organisations in Bahrain.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Chief of Public Security stressed the Ministry of Interior's dedication to supporting UN missions. He noted that safeguarding international personnel and aiding their humanitarian efforts remain key security priorities for the ministry, aligning with international standards and agreements.

The UN officials expressed their gratitude for the ministry's efforts in maintaining the safety of UN personnel and missions. They praised the high level of coordination and professionalism in creating a secure environment that facilitates the organisation's development and humanitarian activities.

The meeting also included Major General Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chief of Public Security; Brigadier Mohammed Abdullah Al Haram, Assistant Chief of Public Security for Operations and Training; and Brigadier Ali Mohammed Al Kubaisi, Director General of Civil Defence.
