Visit Bahrain Hosts Third Bahrain Tourism Fair in Moscow, Sealing $25 Million in Deals

Moscow: Visit Bahrain organised its third consecutive exhibition in Moscow as part of its ongoing efforts to promote the Kingdom of Bahrain’s tourism product and enhance its presence as a distinguished destination in the Russian market. The initiative supports the company’s plans to attract more tourists from this promising market.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the exhibition saw the participation of 13 Bahraini entities, including Gulf Air, and a number of tourism, travel, and hospitality establishments, alongside tourism offices, tour operators, and destination management companies in Moscow. The aim was to introduce Russian offices to Bahrain’s diverse tourism offerings and the comprehensive experiences it provides, meeting various interests from cultural and heritage tourism to leisure, family tourism, and business tourism.

Organising the exhibition resulted in Visit Bahrain signing a number of agreements and deals worth approximately US$25 million, supporting the company’s plans and aspirations to attract 35,000 Russian tourists annually to the Kingdom.

Ali Amralla, CEO of Visit Bahrain, said that organising the exhibition in Moscow for the third time underlines the importance of the Russian market within the company’s targeted tourism markets. He added that the increasing interest from Russian tourists reflects the success of the company’s promotional efforts, noting that the positive results achieved during the exhibition, whether in terms of signed agreements or the volume of attracted investments, represent motivation to continue developing promotional programmes and strengthening cooperation with travel and tourism partners in Russia.

Amralla highlighted that in 2025 the company attracted about 37,000 tourists through tourism offices, including 8,200 from Moscow alone. He noted that about 17% of Russian tourists return to Bahrain after their first visit, which is a positive indicator of the quality of the tourism experience and the level of satisfaction among visitors.

He added that Visit Bahrain has 11 representative offices around the world working to promote Bahrain as a global tourist destination and enhance awareness of its attractive tourism components and competitive advantages. These include an advanced and integrated transport system, a variety of hotels, resorts, and hospitality facilities, a rich historical and cultural heritage, and modern infrastructure with easy access to services, making the Kingdom an attractive destination for various segments of tourists.
