New york: Ambassador Khalid Yousef Al Jalahma, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, participated in the 18th Ministerial Meeting of the Global Governance Group (3G), hosted by the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Singapore to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore. The meeting addressed international developments in light of rapid economic transformations and growing geopolitical changes. It also emphasised the importance of enhancing international dialogue and cooperation to address common challenges, as well as exploring means to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and ensure the representation of the interests of small and medium-sized countries in the global governance system.
The meeting also highlighted efforts to promote stability, justice, and sustainable development, and to promote multilateral cooperation and the exchange of expertise as effective tools to address current global challenges.
