Government Hospitals Receive “Star of Excellence in Patient Experience” Certificate

Abu dhabi: The Government Hospitals were awarded the Golden Initiative "Star of Excellence in Patient Experience" certificate during an official ceremony in Abu Dhabi, held under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and attended by senior officials and healthcare leaders from across the Arab world.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Maryam Athbi Al Jalahma, Chief Executive Officer of the Government Hospitals, emphasised that the award reflects the continuous efforts of Bahrain's healthcare professionals to enhance the patient experience and achieve the highest levels of quality in healthcare services. She noted that this regional recognition is the result of strong support from the Supreme Council of Health for development and continuous improvement programmes, and underscores the Government Hospitals' commitment to adopting the best global practices in healthcare.

The achievement came after a broad regional competition involving 267 healthcare institutions from ten Arab countries, all evaluated by a specialised judging panel, which ultimately selected only 38 institutions as winners.

The Government Hospitals distinguished themselves by winning multiple gold awards in the areas of performance, innovation, quality of care, and team leadership, culminating in the receipt of four gold stars under this prestigious certification.
