UK Investment Minister Visits Bahrain EDB

Manama: Baroness Poppy Gustafsson, the United Kingdom's Minister for Investment, visited the Economic Development Board (EDB) headquarters as part of an official visit, accompanied by Alastair Long, UK Ambassador to Bahrain. She was received by Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the EDB, along with senior officials.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister noted the development of economic ties and investment opportunities between Bahrain and the UK. She highlighted Bahrain's competitive advantages, strategic investment opportunities, and the milestones that have strengthened its position as a leading destination for global investors.

Bahrain and the UK share over 200 years of close economic and diplomatic ties. Non-oil trade between the two nations has seen robust growth, rising to USD 645 million in 2024, an increase of 60% compared to 2020.
