Abu dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a phone call with Ant³nio Costa, President of the European Council, to discuss bilateral relations and means to strengthen cooperation between the UAE and the European Union.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the call addressed ongoing negotiations regarding a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement and reviewed developments in the Middle East, particularly the situation in the Gaza Strip.
Both sides stressed the need for a ceasefire and the delivery of humanitarian aid. They also reiterated the importance of supporting efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace and promoting regional and international stability through dialogue and peaceful solutions.
