Abu dhabi: The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates announced that a warehouse at Al Salam Naval Base in the capital, Abu Dhabi, was targeted by two Iranian drones, resulting in a fire in two containers storing general materials, with no casualties reported.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ministry stated that specialised teams immediately responded to the incident and brought it under control, strongly condemning the military targeting and describing it as a blatant act of aggression and a flagrant violation of national sovereignty and international law.
The Ministry of Defence stressed that the UAE reserves its full and legitimate right to respond to this escalation and to take all necessary measures to protect its territory, its people and residents, in a manner that ensures the safeguarding of its sovereignty, security and stability and protects its national interests and capabilities.
The Ministry affirmed that it remains fully prepared and ready to address any threats and to decisively confront anything that seeks to undermine the country's security, noting that the safety of citizens, residents and visitors represents a top priority that cannot be compromised under any circumstances.
