Two Bahraini teachers qualify to the second stage of Mohammed bin Zayed Award

Two Bahraini teachers have qualified to the second phase of the 4th edition of the Mohammed bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher. Al Ahlia Private School teacher Zeinab Said Salman and Al Qadisiya Primary Girls’ School teacher Kawther Hamza Jaffer were honoured during a ceremony held under the patronage of Education Minister Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma’a.

Mohammed bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher Secretary General Dr. Hamad Ahmed Al Darmaki, UAE Embassy representative Mansour Mohammed Al Juwaid and other officials attended which was held at the ministry’s hall in Isa Town

The Ministry of Education hosted the ceremony today in cooperation with the Mohammed bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher. Coordinators in charge of the prize in the Kingdom of Bahrain have also been honoured.

Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Juma’a wished the candidates success in the upcoming stages, stressing the importance of the awrd in forstering creativity in education and recognizing outstanding teachers.

He hailed the royal support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to tp educational sector, with follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Dr. Al Darmaki hailed the ministry’s support to the award, which reflects the wise vision of the UAE President His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to honour outstanding teachers.

He noted that the 2022 edition of the award has undergone changes regarding standards, goals, evaluation procedures, nomination requiremenrs and targeted countries.

He announced that thirteen Arab and foreign countries will take part in the 2022 edition of the Mohammed bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher.

The evaluation is based on five criteria: excellence in achievement, creativity, innovation, development, sustainable education, positive citizenship, loyalty, national belonging, and community and professional leadership.
