Washington: US President Donald Trump announced the killing of Abu Bilal Al Minuki, the second-in-command of ISIS globally, during a joint operation conducted by US and Nigerian forces.
According to Bahrain News Agency, in a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that US forces and the Nigerian Armed Forces executed a 'meticulously planned and very complex mission' which led to the successful elimination of Al Minuki.
Trump mentioned that Al Minuki believed he could evade capture by hiding in Africa, but emphasized that sources provided continuous updates on his whereabouts.
While the exact location of the operation was not disclosed, Trump expressed gratitude to the Nigerian government for their collaboration in the mission.
