Manama: Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Football Association (BFA), crowned Muharraq Club champions of the Nasser bin Hamad Premier League for the 2025-2026 sports season. His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa, Vice President of the BFA, was also present during the ceremony.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Muharraq Club secured the league title with a decisive 1-0 victory over A'ali Club. The triumph saw Khaldiya Club finishing in second place, while Riffa Club secured the third spot in the league standings. Following the match, Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa awarded the victorious Muharraq players and club members with gold medals and the league shield.
The BFA President extended his acknowledgments to the officiating team of the crucial match between Muharraq and A'ali. The officials included Talal Musamah, match commissioner; Mubarak Al Hayki, general coordinator; Ibrahim Sabt, referee assessor; Hassan Bu Ashwan, match referee; Abdullah Saleh, first assistant referee; Salman Talasi, second assistant referee; Mohammed Khalid, fourth official; Ismail Habib, VAR referee; Mohammed Murshid, assistant VAR referee; Yousif Haji, VAR officer; and Hassan Al Subaie, VAR operator.
