HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Engages in Europe-Gulf Geopolitics and Investments Summit

Manama: Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, participated in the inauguration of the Alliance for Europe-Gulf Geopolitics and Investments Summit (AEGGIS) in Greece. The summit, running until May 17th, 2026, was organized at the official invitation of the Atlantic Council in collaboration with Antenna Group. It gathered leaders, decision-makers, political and economic figures, and investors from the GCC and Europe.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy; Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor; and Shaikh Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Strategic Security Bureau, were in attendance. During the event, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa emphasized Bahrain's commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the close follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to strengthening its role as a strategic partner in regional security and international cooperation.

His Highness highlighted the need for developing more integrated alliances due to current geopolitical and economic shifts. He stressed the importance of strategic integration and unified visions between GCC states and Europe to create opportunities for investment, development, and shared security.

The summit served as a significant platform for strategic dialogue between Europe and GCC states, focusing on the necessity of greater coordination on issues such as security, energy, investment, technology, and the digital economy amidst rapid global changes. High-level sessions explored the future of Gulf-European relations, the construction of new geopolitical and investment cooperation frameworks, and opportunities for economic integration and joint initiatives in crucial sectors.
