Transportation Minister Engages in High-Level Talks to Boost Rail and Transport Collaboration

Abu dhabi: Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, actively engaged in a series of meetings with key ministers and senior executives during his participation in the 2nd Global Rail Transport and Infrastructure Exhibition and Conference.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla convened with Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazroui, the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates. They deliberated on enhancing bilateral cooperation, improving infrastructure efficiency through modern methods, and transitioning to sustainable transportation by adopting innovative solutions in intelligent transport systems.

Furthermore, the minister met with Kamel Abdelhadi El Wazir, Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Transport. Their discussions centered on strengthening joint cooperation, leveraging Egypt's experience in modern transport, and emphasizing the importance of knowledge exchange to improve transport service quality and achieve sustainable development.

In his meeting with Nidal Al Qatamin, the Minister of Transport of Jordan, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla explored opportunities for expanding cooperation between the two nations. They discussed developing transport sectors, facilitating passenger and trade movement, and reviewing strategic projects in Jordan's transport sector to promote integration and knowledge exchange.

Dr. Shaikh Abdulla also met with Abdulrahman bin Salem Al Hatmi, the Group CEO of ASYAD Group, focusing on the development of land and maritime transport services and enhancing the private sector's role in supporting Gulf logistics integration. Additionally, in his meeting with Ahmed Al Musawa Al Hashemi, CEO of Hafeet Rail, they reviewed modern operational systems and technologies aimed at improving logistical transport integration between cities and industrial zones.
