Manama: Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, met with Her Highness Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Royal Life Saving Bahrain (RLSB), to discuss means of enhancing joint cooperation, particularly in the auditing and inspection of tourism facilities to ensure full compliance with approved safety requirements for the operation of swimming pools.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Al Sairafi underlined the ministry's commitment to expanding collaboration with the institution to enhance safety standards at swimming pools and beaches operated by tourism establishments across the Kingdom of Bahrain. She highlighted that marine and coastal activities represent a core strategic component of the national tourism sector.
The Tourism Minister emphasised that the safety of visitors and guests is a top priority for the tourism sector, expressing her confidence that this partnership would contribute to reinforcing Bahrain's standing as a safe and appealing tourism destination.
HH Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad commended the Ministry of Tourism's efforts, emphasising the importance of coordinated action with relevant stakeholders to promote a culture of water safety and raise awareness among beach and pool users at tourism facilities, in line with the highest standards of public safety.
