The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the Iraqi embassy in Bulgaria is following up on the death of two Iraqis on the Turkish-Bulgarian border.
Today, Sunday, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, said in a statement, "The embassy of the Republic of Iraq to Bulgaria is following up with the authorities and the Bulgarian border guards, the death of two Iraqis on the Turkish-Bulgarian border, as they left Turkey for Bulgaria towards European countries, illegally."
He explained, "The embassy received an appeal from the families of the victims," stressing that "the embassy sent the consul to the scene of the accident in the Bulgarian city of Burgas to coordinate with the border police, find out the causes of the accident, and facilitate the procedures for transferring them to Iraq."
