CBB Government Development Bond Issue No. 45 Oversubscribed by 210%

Manama: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that the 3-year Government Development Bond issue has been significantly oversubscribed by 210%. The bond issue attracted subscriptions amounting to BD 419.597 million, surpassing the original BD 200 million target. According to Bahrain News Agency, the bond, which has been designated as Government Development Bond issue No. 45, will carry a fixed annual coupon rate of 6.250%. The bond's tenure spans from its commencement on May 5 until its maturity on May 5, 2029. This issue is part of the CBB's efforts to raise funds on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
