Manama: Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB), welcomed Dr. Abdallah Al Dardari, Assistant Secretary General, Assistant Administrator, and Director of the Regional Bureau for Arab States at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), along with his delegation during their visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on topics related to sustainable development. The minister underscored Bahrain's commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, showcasing how national plans and strategies align with these goals. She highlighted the nation's efforts in investing in human capital, developing skills, and digital transformation.
The minister acknowledged the importance of international partnerships with UN agencies in supporting Bahrain's sustainable development initiatives.
Dr. Al Dardari praised Bahrain's progress in advancing the SDGs and recognized the country's national initiatives. He reiterated the UNDP's commitment to enhancing cooperation with Bahrain to support mutual development objectives.
