Manama: Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futtais Al Hajeri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, highlighted the significant attention given to places of worship by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which has led to the expansion and development of mosques and Islamic centres across Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Hajeri commended the directive of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to inaugurate, renovate, and upgrade 40 mosques under the administration of both the Sunni and Jaafari endowments across all governorates of Bahrain.
Al Hajeri highlighted the government's commitment, led by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to developing places of worship with modern Islamic designs. He noted that 82 mosques have been completed in the past three years under both endowments.
Al Hajeri underscored HRH's commitment to expanding and maintaining mosques, ensuring their readiness for worshippers, especially ahead of Ramadan. He wished continued health and success to HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in advancing Bahrain's development.
