Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, received a delegation from the United Arab Emirates Federal National Council, headed by Dr. Tariq Humaid Al Tayer, First Deputy Speaker of the UAE Federal National Council, on the occasion of their participation in the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) meeting hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Speaker Al Musallam underscored the longstanding relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UAE, and their continued development across all areas. He noted the shared commitment to supporting cooperation and advancing it to broader horizons, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.
The meeting underlined support for bilateral projects and discussed areas of parliamentary cooperation. The Speaker commended the efforts of Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council, in supporting parliamentary integration and coordination in regional and international parliamentary forums.
On his part, Dr. Al Tayer expressed appreciation to Speaker Al Musallam for his efforts in further developing joint work and cooperation between Bahrain and the UAE, wishing Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
