Speaker Receives First Deputy Speaker of Tajikistan’s Supreme Assembly

Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, received Shermuhammad Shohiyon, First Deputy Speaker of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan, on the occasion of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) meeting being held in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Speaker Al Musallam highlighted the longstanding relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Tajikistan, and their shared commitment and mutual interest, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Excellency President Emomali Rahmon of the Republic of Tajikistan. According to Bahrain News Agency, the Speaker commended the advanced level reached in cooperation and the coordination of positions in regional and international forums, which benefits both countries and their peoples. On his part, First Deputy Speaker Shohiyon expressed pride in the strong ties between the two countries, commending Bahrain's comprehensive and distinguished progress in all domains under the leadership of His Majesty the King . He emphasised his country's commitment to support bilateral relations and strengthen parliamentary diplomacy, and appreciated the shared interest in developing bilateral relations, especially in the economic and investment domains and increasing trade exchange.
