Speaker Receives First Deputy Speaker of Jordan’s House of Representatives

Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, received Dr. Khamis Atieh, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on the sidelines of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) meeting in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Speaker Al Musallam underscored the longstanding Bahraini-Jordanian relations and their progress and development across various domains and sectors, supported by the leadership in both Kingdoms.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Speaker Al Musallam commended the role and efforts of Mazen El Qadi, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Jordan, in supporting joint cooperation between the two countries across all areas, and his continuous commitment to advancing Arab and Asian parliamentary work.

On his part, Dr. Atieh expressed pride in the close relations between the two Kingdoms at all levels, and their shared efforts to develop bilateral cooperation and enhance the role of legislative councils in promoting cooperation for further progress and development. He conveyed greetings from Speaker El Qadi and his wishes for the success of the APA meeting, welcoming continued parliamentary cooperation and coordination between the two sides at the level of both councils and their secretariats.
