Speaker Highlights Royal Support as Key to Empowering Bahraini Youth

Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, emphasised the significance of Bahrain Youth Day, celebrated annually on March 25, as a pivotal moment to acknowledge the remarkable achievements of Bahraini youth across different fields. He pointed out the continuous care and support provided to youth through government initiatives, a forward-thinking legislative framework, and programmes that foster education, employment, talent cultivation, and capacity building.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Speaker underlined the vital role of royal patronage, specifically from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in advancing the youth sector and bolstering the contribution of Bahraini youth to national development. Al Musallam praised the strategic plans and specialised programmes spearheaded by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, which focus on supporting Bahraini youth and enhancing their achievements across various sectors.

Al Musallam also acknowledged the efforts of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and numerous youth institutions and centers throughout Bahrain. He extended his congratulations to Bahraini youth on this occasion, urging them to continue their dedication, achievement, and innovation in serving the nation and elevating Bahrain's regional and international stature.

He reiterated the Council's commitment to supporting Bahraini youth, particularly in enhancing educational systems, generating quality employment opportunities, preparing them for the job market, addressing their needs, and helping them achieve their aspirations to build a robust future generation. The Speaker concluded by expressing the Kingdom's pride in its youth, emphasising their role in national progress and the spirit of 'Team Bahrain', which prioritises national interest, strengthens national identity, and encourages active participation in decision-making and sustainable development.
