Abu dhabi: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, sent a cable affirming full parliamentary solidarity with the United Arab Emirates to Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the UAE Federal National Council, following the terrorist drone attack that resulted in a fire outside the inner perimeter of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the Al Dhafra region.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Speaker Al Musallam condemned the attack, stressing that targeting civilian facilities and vital infrastructure constitutes a flagrant violation of international law. He also emphasised the UAE's right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and stability in accordance with international law and the principles governing the protection of civilian nuclear facilities.
He commended the deep-rooted ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UAE under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
