South Korea’s Producer Prices Increase in June for First Time in Three Months

Seoul: South Korea's producer prices rose in June for the first time in three months, driven by higher prices of agricultural and livestock products, according to data from the Bank of Korea released on Tuesday.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the producer price index, a key indicator of consumer inflation, increased by 0.1% in June from the previous month, reaching 119.77. This marked the first monthly rise since March, after declines of 0.2% in April and 0.4% in May.

On a yearly basis, producer prices rose 0.5% in June, marking the 23rd consecutive month of year-on-year increases.
