South Korea Begins Dismantling Loudspeakers Along Border With North Korea

Seoul: South Korea started removing loudspeakers for propaganda broadcasts installed along the border with North Korea on Monday, the Ministry of Defence of South Korea said.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the ministry stated that the move is part of "practical measures" to ease inter-Korean tensions without affecting the military's readiness posture. This development follows President Lee Jae Myung's decision in June to suspend loudspeaker broadcasts directed at North Korea. The suspension was ordered to reduce tensions and foster trust between the two nations.
