Manama: Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi, Minister of Social Development and Chairman of the High Committee for the Care of People with Disabilities, chaired the committee's first meeting since its reformation. The Minister emphasised the importance of continuing efforts to develop and implement further national policies, initiatives, and programmes that support people of determination by advancing their empowerment, rehabilitation, and integration into society.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting discussed key topics, most notably proposals to improve the mechanisms for disbursing specialised assistive devices, as well as strategies to raise public awareness of the rights of people of determination. The meeting also reviewed the need for continued coordination among relevant bodies to improve services for people of determination.
